PAINTBALL!!!
Yesterday Russell, Bentley, and I went to Splat Zone in Cottondale to play Paintball with the youth group from church. I have always wanted to play but was very nervous! More nervous than skydiving which I know sounds extremely crazy! Twelve people went and I was the ONLY girl! We played on two different courses. The first course of walls to hide behind was my favorite! I hated the woods course!! It was uphill! Not to mention it was literally 102 degrees!!!! And we were in a mask and vest! It was SOOOOO much fun though! I would do it again. Bentley wants to have his 10th birthday there. We will see about that! Check another item off my bucket list :)
The field!
Russell got hit a few times but this is one of the worst ones!
My worst one was to my arm
Bentley got hit on the thigh! OUCH!
Biographies
I took the boys to the library on Wednesday to check out some movies and books. I was so proud and excited that Bentley checked out ALL biographies!!! I love biographies!! He checked out books on Houdini, Elvis, Abe Lincoln, and Triple H. He had already read 2 of them that day too!!
Sweet Notes
I woke up and headed to the kitchen to fix breakfast for the boys (Russell had already left for work) and Russell had left sweet notes for each one of us in our spot at the kitchen table. So sweet! Made my day. Love my sweet husband!
Kermit the Frog
While we were playing outside one day Bentley and Brody found a baby frog playing in the swimming pool. They played with that frog FOREVER!! We decided to name him Kermit. Kermit and his mom hang out at our house a lot.
VBS at NCOC
Alex asked if Bentley could go to VBS at Northport with him June 25 and 26. Bentley really wanted to go so I reluctantly agreed. He had a great time and enjoyed getting to spend some time with his friend Alex.
Waiting on Daddy :)
Brody looks forward to the time for his Daddy to arrive home. This is what he usually does when it gets close to time...So sweet! He is definitely a daddy's boy!
Playdate with Clay
Ashley asked if Clay could come and play while she finished up plans for his birthday. Of course I said yes. Bentley and Brody love to play with him. So yet again...WATER PLAY!!!
There comes a time in every rightly constructed boys life when he has the raging desire to go somewhere and dig for hidden treasure ~Mark Twain
Batman and Batman
We set up the pool and slip n' slide for the boys. I told Bentley to go and get them some towels. This is what I saw. SOOOO CUTE!!!!
Bagels!
We bought bagels at the grocery store to eat for breakfast or to make pizzas with...but someone couldn't wait until they were paid for...
Rio
On June 26, the boys and I went to see Rio with KFC at the free movie deal. Brody did great yet again. He had a line of little girls who were more than happy to hold him and share their popcorn with them. Bentley had already seen this movie but it was really cute! Lots of music and color. Brody would jump and shake it during some of the songs! We had a great time!
Father's Day
Father's Day was on June 17 this year.

Dressed and ready for church with our boys!
Splash Pad
Last week I took the boys to the Splash Pad at Annette Shelby Park in Tuscaloosa. I had heard lots of people talking about how fun it was so I decided to try it out. Plus it is free. It was sooo hot so we went around 9am and played on the playground there then went on over to the Splash Pad. We had a blast! Brody was a little apprehensive at first but warmed up to it and ran and hopped all around and through the water. Bentley jumped in immediately! Both of my boys LOVE the water!!
