Bentley and I have a bedtime routine of reading a chapter (at least) of some classic storybook. Right now it is Alice in Wonderland. We also read a Bible story, Roses and Thorns (tell one good thing about our day and one bad), and say our prayers. Well tonight we were talking about what we were grateful for and Bentley's response was, "My brother. I love him more than anything in this world. I was worried about him coming into this family and not sure I wanted him. But now I can't imagine not having him." It was so great to hear because Bentley has been very jealous of Brody and acting out a good bit. I actually cried when he said that. It was so unbelievably sweet!

Daddy Called
Russell was at the firestation Monday for his normal shift. He always calls around 8pm to check in and to tell the boys and I goodnight. Russell talked to Bentley, asked about his day, and said goodnight. Then it was Brody's turn. Brody talked a lot of gibberish. But in the middle of the conversation he said,"Momma did it." Then right back to the gibberish. Not sure what I did but he was certainly telling on me for something! It was hilarious!!!
Sunday
Brody was so wired during church!! Talking, trying to run around, etc. But as soon as we got in the car and started down the rode he passed out. So peaceful :)

Emma's Birthday!
This afternoon was Emma Jordan's 9th birthday. Emma is in Bentley's class at Westwood and Emma's dad is a fireman with Russell. She had her party on her parents farm with lots of horses! It is such a beautiful and peaceful place. They ate cupcakes and ice cream, rode horses, and had a hayride. we had a great time! Bentley was all about the horses. And Brody even rode a horse. He did GREAT! He wasn't ready to get off when his turn was over ;) This kid is fearless! AHHH!!!
Dr. Seuss!!!
This morning Target had Dr. Seuss story time. Some of the Target employees sat and read Dr. Seuss books to the kids. They also got the cutest Dr. Seuss bags with goodies inside. Brody sat for a few minutes and then he was ready to run but this is the second year we have gone and I think it is awesome that they do it!
Sipsey Valley Beauty Walk 2012
Last night my two beautiful cousins Kristin and Anna Kate were in Sipsey Valley's Beauty Walk. Before the Walk I took pictures of the girls at Capitol Park. It was windy and cold! But they were great sports and they looked so pretty and grown up!! Anna Kate won Ms. Congeniality! After the Beauty Walk we went to Mugshots with everyone and had a blast! It was great visiting with the family. It has been too long. After a late night we went home to our boys and relaxed!

A Day Out With Brody
The other day Brody and I had LOTS of errands to run. Started our morning taking Bentley to school. Then trying to be an excellent couponer, I ran to CVS,Walgreens, and RiteAid to get some items we needed for next to nothing! I was proud of myself. After those stops we ran to the bank and opened Brody a savings account. He was EXCELLENT waiting on all the paperwork to get done. He also flirted with all of the women in there. Then we went to the library for Storytime. Brody did GREAT there as well. They got to sing songs, read, and do bubbles. Brody was all into the dancing. He is just so stinking cute!!!! By the time we got back home Brody was ready for his nap. It was an awesome day with my little man :) Love being able to be home with him!!!!

Stay Calm and Play Temple Run
So Temple Run is a new game all of the Latners have become obssessed with!! It is such a silly game but we love it! This guy, who reminds me of Indiana Jones, simply runs through this course with flying monkeys chasing him. You have to jump, turn, and slide throughout without getting caught by the monkeys or falling off the bridges and such. My highest score to date is 187,000. Bentley's was this...
AMAZING!!!!
AMAZING!!!!
Fun at the Park
Today is President's Day and it's also a weather day from school so the boys and I decided to head out to the park for some fresh air and some fun. It ended up being muddy and cold so we only stayed for about an hour but we had a great time while we were there!
