Russell found this picture the other day on his cell phone and sent it to me. It brought up a lot of emotions!! After Brody was born the doctors heard a murmur. The doctors just kept a check on it for a few months then decided he needed to be checked. They didn't think it was anything to worry about and that it would close up on its own, but wanted us to see a cardiologist in Birmingham at UAB just to make sure. I was a nervous wreck!! 6 months old in this picture and having all of these things stuck to him. He didn't understand what was going on but he was the best baby!! He just laid there and didn't fuss one time!! Dr. Colvin (who was excellent!!!) and the nurse went on and on that they never had a baby especially that young be so still and so good! Of course all I wanted to do was cry. Dr. Colvin said it was definitely a heart murmur but he thought it would cause Brody no problems and that it would close up on its own. If not he isn't overly concerned. He had to go back a few months later for a recheck and we go back in 2013 recheck again. Brody is definitely a blessing to us and I could not imagine not having him in my arms and in this family!!! Love my monkey!!!!!!
