A few weeks ago I decided to buy Brody a potty. He had been patting his diaper to let us know when he was wet or dirty. And he would also go and get a diaper sometimes and lay in the floor to be changed. I figure if he can do that we would introduce the potty to him. He was and is still loving the potty!! He only "drizzled" in the potty once but that's certainly a start! In that situation, he had sat on the potty and started to tee-tee in it. I guess it caught him offguard and he stood up really fast...peeing all over the floor! He looked at the potty and said,"YAY!!!" and them at the floor and said,"Uh-oh!!" His potty plays music so he likes to sit and dance and he also likes to count to 3 and say,"Let's go pee!!" Strange I know but whatever works ;)
I don't think I was very prepared when Bentley was learning to potty so we have the potty just sitting in the bathroom and Brody does really well about sitting on it, whether he goes or not. I'm in no rush and he at least knows where and what the potty is.
